Expat Thanksgiving

Holiday's away from home by yourself can be lonely. Thankfully I got to enjoy all the fun of Thanksgiving with my family, but without any of the calories!

Covent Garden Christmas

London celebrated my two-month residency with a festival — full of mulled wine and Christmas lights... someone must have told them of my love of wine and Christmas. ;)

Any who, I thought I'd take y'all along for the evening!... enjoy!

Paris

I think everyone knows Paris is always a good idea, but Paris with your cousin in autumn is an magnifique idea!

It was a whirlwind trip — for me. I had only 36-ish hours in the city of love and I needed to embrace every moment of it! While the bookends of the trip were a little rough, needless to say (you'll learn about that in part 2!) the entire trip was absolutely amazing.

I'm joined by fellow American Melissa as we explore this quirky little place.

Princes and Castles and Stuff

It's been a while!

I've hit - and surpassed - my one-month mark, which is crazy to believe! It honestly feels like I've been here for ages.

Probably because I have been so busy with everything!

But I finally took some time to have a one-sided chat with you to fill you in on everything that's been going on!

We're So American

Exploring the city has become the only plans I make at the week end.

This excursion ended up being myself, along with two fellow brunette Americans, and the two of them both wearing denim jackets, what are the odds! It took a lot of will power to stay away from the water, a place I gravitate towards any chance I get... We were a mere two blocks away but I resisted!

I'm positive we looked mega touristy, considering we almost got hit by cars a number of times, carried a London travel book, and stopped at a touristy souvenir shop.

Which Way Are We Going?

We've finished induction week, so it was time to do a little exploring!

Some friends and I meandered through parts of the city, getting slightly lost along the way, though we didn't mind because we quite enjoyed the beautiful, sun-shiney London day we had.

London Musings

My life in London has begun to settle in.

What better time to give you a peek at where I am, where I'll be, and what I've learned thus far!

And no worries, I don't cry in this one ;)

It Gets Real

I've completed my first 36ish hours in London and what an adventure they've been!

Yesterday, after a flight, taxi ride, and move-in, I still managed to walk 70 steps shy of 13,000 steps! That's nothing compared to today's upper 16,000's!!!!

But it all hasn't been diamonds and rosè....

10 Must-Have Carry-Ons

No one wants to come off the plane looking like the tough night's sleep they had. So I've come up with 10 beauty products that are an absolute MUST-HAVE for conquering over night flights!

4,190 Miles & 9 Inches

My upcoming move to London has been garnering quite the questions! Many of them are the same questions, so I made a little video answering those common questions.

New Year's Re-SEW-loution: August

What a journey it's been!

Since I'm moving very soon, the remainder of my re-sew-loution has been put on hold until further notice.

This month's project went off without a hitch — I did it 100% on my own! Talk about ending on a high note!

New Year's Re-SEW-loution: July

I've always been good friends with procrastination.... Thankfully I'm the smarter, faster, and prettier one.

I tried to do this project by myself but I ended up making a huge mistake in the beginning (which I didn't realize until much later) that got things off to a bad start.

New Year's Re-SEW-loution: May

This month's project has certainly been an interesting one.

This seemingly simple-to-make dress hit so many road bumps along the way, I'm surprised I still have my sanity. But unforeseen moments and soul crushing roadblocks make for good video.

Speaking of, the video is longer than usual because so. many. things. happened while making this dress, and luckily, they were all caught on camera!

Re-SEW-loution: April

I might have started out the month of April a project behind, but as we round out the final few days of the month I am on track — maybe even a little ahead!

I kept this month's project short and simple... Take a look!

Re-SEW-loution: March

I didn't complete this project in my intended deadline, but that happens.

March's project was a maxi dress. It turned out nothing like how it started..!

Re-SEW-loution: February

Not quite a full month means double the projects, right?

RIGHT!

Re-SEW-loution: January

I'M LEARNING HOW TO SEW!

I was looking for a hobby and it just hit me. I'm taking on the New Year with a new hobby, and I must say I am really enjoying it so far!

Naturally, I started out big and made a cape coat.

I'm obsessed with how it turned out!
