Expat Thanksgiving

Holiday's away from home by yourself can be lonely. Thankfully I got to enjoy all the fun of Thanksgiving with my family, but without any of the calories!

Another Page in the Blog

I apologize for my lack of blogging as of late. I've been in a frozen funk for the past week.

What better way to get out of a funk than with something you love?

And who doesn't love weddings!

Wear My Heart on My Sleeve

Valentine's Day.

You either love it or hate it.

And while my Valentine was Bogart and I spent the day with my parents, I didn't hate it.

Partly because I loved my outfit.

Want it Wednesday: Burberry Blanket Poncho

Ya know how there's something that makes the pitter patter of your heart a little faster when you see it?
Cara Delevingne

Well, for me it's this poncho.

The moment I saw it I fell in love.

I love anything Burberry and, being Southern, I love a good monogram and this poncho has the best of both worlds.

Revamp

Every once in a while, you just want to keep it simple.

Throw on a white tee.
Squat and suck into a pair of jeans.
Slip on some comfy sandals.

But it's even better to take that simple look up a notch.

And that's what I did.

Wearing our Colors

Memorial Day is a holiday we celebrate to remember the men and women who died while serving in the country's armed forces.

As I sit here watching "I Wanna Marry Harry", it's easy to forget the sacrifice these men & women have made to make it so I can not only watch this show in my home, but allow me so many other freedoms we take for granted on a daily basis — like wearing what I want to, and writing about it.

I've been very blessed in the fact that my dad is only a veteran, not someone we have to pay our respects to on Memorial Day.

Athens, I Love You.

Athens. The word may be small but it has had a massive impact on my life.

As I enter my last night in this place, I'm finding it harder and harder to say goodbye. My time here will impact the rest of my life. I've had good times, stressful times, and terrible times - but I wouldn't change them for the world.

Independence

The time has come. In just 3 days B goes in for training and journeys up to New York and begins his next chapter.

I remember first coming to UGA and seeing the puppies everywhere. I finally mustered up the courage to ask someone about it one day. I'm pretty sure I signed up that night. Growing up, I always had a dog in my life. When I moved to Athens I was slightly lost and alone because I no longer had that companionship in my life.

It was 5 days after my 21st birthday when I picked him up. I like to think he was a gift from my late grandma. The timing couldn't have been more perfect. Life with a puppy was nothing short of interesting- but that's what happens when you add someone new into your life- and I wouldn't change a minute of it. Every day that went by our bond grew stronger and stronger, and it wasn't long until he was my best friend. To this day he knows exactly what to do to make me feel better.

Baby B has a birthday!

Last week my baby had his first birthday. So, to pay homage to him and his first year of life, I give you this: a blog full of cuteness that is my baby.
the day I picked him up!

Wacthing Family Feud.. ironically it was a question about dogs!

He's been stubborn since the beginning!

He wanted to come to London with me
