Militar-SHE

I had a little shopping spree at Target to pick up some need-for-London items, and that haul 4 of the items of clothing the same shade of green.

The cashier even pointed out, "you must like this color" to which I responded, "yes, it brings out my eyes."

These pants were one of them.

Hat Trick

I've never been much of a hat wearer.

Unless it's a baseball cap while shark fishing or doing outside work (which we know never happens), or a big ole sunhat at the beach, my head has been naked as a jaybird.

Transitional Hybrid

Before the weather became stupid hot, there was a very small window consisting of beautiful blue skies and perfect temperatures.

I love that time of year, mostly for the temperatures, but mainly because the options of what to wear encompasses my entire wardrobe. Tank tops and pants, shorts and long sleeves, boots or sandals, and layers.

Tackonista

It's not always easy being a fashionista.

We have our less than fabulous moments but often it's because we're making the rare decision to choose comfort in some or fashion.

For me, those days are either when I'm home with plans for the day (I absolutely hate wasting a cute outfit on a day on the couch) or when I'm on set in a dress.

Summer Shimmer

Ah, the most wonderful time of the year has finally arrived.

It's not quite warm enough to wear shorts and a tank top all day, but balancing one or the other with a winter garment (like pants or long sleeve shirt) and you're golden.

Wanderlost

I embarked on quite an adventure earlier this week.

Said adventure included walking over 5 miles throughout the city but it was well worth it.

I'm not one to try to brag on myself and I usually wouldn't share this until the contest has ended (if even at all) but I'm so proud of the work I did I want to share.

Why, you may ask? Well, just watch this...

Another Page in the Blog

I apologize for my lack of blogging as of late. I've been in a frozen funk for the past week.

What better way to get out of a funk than with something you love?

And who doesn't love weddings!

Sheer Sparkle

I might have mentioned it before but I love things that sparkle.

Diamonds
Shoes
Eyeshadow

doesn't matter to me.

If it sparkles there's a good chance I'd buy it.

Shoesday Tuesday: Grey Booties

If you've ever been to my house, you know I have a ton of shoes.

Too many, according to my mom.

But that's impossible.

I've been known for having great shoes and I was so stoked to open up these babies on Christmas! Thanks, Aunt Sheryl!

24 Jumpsuit

I have officially entered my mid-20's!

Am I old enough to be this old?

No matter the number, one thing was for sure. I had to bring it in in-style.

White Out

Rules are meant to be broken, right?

Not only are rules meant to be broken, they also change over time. Iconic designer Michael Kors said this rule is null and void!

So throw caution to the wind and pull out those winter whites!

A WEAR in Review

This time of year gets you all nostalgic and stuff, so I'm taking a walk down memory lane and revisiting some of my favorite looks from 2014!

Getting in the Holiday Leggings

The time for the festive leggings has come and I have been milking it! Leggings are already incredibly comfortable but slap some Christmas decor on them and I'm sold.

I purchased these Christmas tree leggings at the same time as the leggings in "Bold in the Crazy Cold". Little did I know these two pairs would be incredibly different!

Raising a Parting Glass

My beloved Grandpa passed away on October 1st.

He went fast, but had a beautiful 88 years  and he was ready to go home and see his wife! It's strange when someone who is a constant in your life is suddenly no longer there. I would always joke with him and tell him he has to stick around until I got married, to which he always replied "well you'd better hurry up." He was a wonderful man and I'm so grateful that I got 23 years with him.

Welcome to Atlanta

The airport is one of my favorite places to go. It holds such wonderful memories for me (you can read about those here) and it has some of the best people watching.

As most of you know, my dad lives in North Carolina for work and he and my mom often take turns driving down/driving up for visits. But this time he didn't have to take the 6 hour trek, instead this time Atlanta wasn't the layover it was the destination, and it was my job to pick him up.

Blue Collar

Said to be first established in Cambrai, France in 1595, chambray is defined as "a lightweight even weave fabric formed of colored warp yarns (often blue) and white weft yarns." (*)
As the popularity of the chambray shirt grew, the shirts became the inspiration behind the phrase "blue collar". (*)
Fast forward to 2014 and the popularity of these shirts is only growing. They are found in almost every women's boutique, and seen on celebrities like Taylor Swift, the Olsen Twins, fashion icon Rihanna, and Justin Timberlake.
