Jump-ing into Spring

Spring is in the air (well, in the mornings. It's full on summer by the afternoon!), which means it's time to spruce up our wardrobes, and pull the bright tops and floral dresses out from the back of our closets and pack away the long sleeved shirts. It's also an excellent reason to go shopping and pick up some of the newest styles on the racks. With my best friend's graduation next week, a new dress was a MUST

Hola, Bella!

Have you ever heard of Influenster? It's this great website that you sign up for and you get products based on your interests for free. Yes, FREE. The only thing they ask for in return is your opinions. So, here's mine.

I was sent the Mary Kay Voxbox, and inside I found the lovely greeting of "Hello gorgeous! Hola bella!" and a bunch of goodies, including:

Athens, I Love You.

Athens. The word may be small but it has had a massive impact on my life.

As I enter my last night in this place, I'm finding it harder and harder to say goodbye. My time here will impact the rest of my life. I've had good times, stressful times, and terrible times - but I wouldn't change them for the world.

Same Page, Different Chapter

I planned on doing this post yesterday, but my internet was out since Thursday and just came back up.

A year ago yesterday (6/8) marked exactly 1 year ago I got on a plane and left for London.
But it's so much more than that. Aside from the obvious fact that I went to London on that day, it's probably one of the best days of my life so far.

Baby B has a birthday!

Last week my baby had his first birthday. So, to pay homage to him and his first year of life, I give you this: a blog full of cuteness that is my baby.
the day I picked him up!

Wacthing Family Feud.. ironically it was a question about dogs!

He's been stubborn since the beginning!

English Musings

Lots have changed lately. My friends left, and that's been super sad. We went to high tea before and that was fun. But they've left now :(

I met up with my family on Saturday morning. We went on a hop on/hop off tour of the city. Then we took a little cruise on the Thames. We walked around a bit, saw the palace, Trafalgar square, The Royal Mews, and some other places. Including a picnic in Hyde Park.  We also had a delicious dinner at this Italian place called Zizzi.

Sunday, we went on the London Eye. Lots of the tube lines were closed (partially) for routine maintenance so we had to do a big go-around and FINALLY got there. It was really neat. We walked around the South Bank, got some ice cream, then went to Hyde Park and looked at the Prince Albert monument, the Peter Pan statue and the Princess Diana memorial fountain. I wanted to catch the final game of the Euro cup in a pub, and we needed to get there by 7 to get a table- but we didn't finish all the other stuff until after 7:45, so it was basically POINTLESS to go attempt to go in one, much less eat. We tried anyways, until we eventually headed back and looked for places around where we were staying. We came across one pub just down the street from us but it was minutes after 9 and the pub kitchens close at 9. So we were out of luck, and we just went back and ordered some pizza/ate left overs.

Mind the Gap

Ello there!

Yesterday we went to Primark. It was incredible!!! The most I spent on something was £10!!! I got 2 maxi skirts, an AWESOME pair of leggings, a pair of flip flops to wear back and forth to the shower, two shirts, and nail polish. I think that's all. But it was incredible shopping. And what they say about the lines is true. I did take my shirt off (I had on a cami, no worries) and tried on a shirt in the aisle. We also forgot about the size differences here and so we weren't able to try on pants because that line was too ridiculous.

Then we went to Forever 21 and a couple girls got some stuff. On our way back to the tube station there was a crepe stand, so naturally as any human being with a stomach would do, we stopped and got some. I got the regular, which has lemon juice and sugar. Brandi got Nutella and bananas, Lizzy got Belgian chocolate, and Kelli got a regular crepe. They are delishhhhhhh!!

After we chilled for a bit we went to Wagamamas for dinner. I got Chicken Ramen- don't let the name fool you, it's much more expensive than Wal-Mart ramen :P I ate the entire thing with chopsticks!!

As You Wish

Harrods

We had orientation today. That was pretty typical. We had a policeman come talk to us and he was hilarious. After that, some friends and I went to the mobile store to get, you guessed it, mobiles. Then we went to Whole Foods and got some lunch and I got some Cheerios to munch for breakfast and some granola bar things.

Then we took a bus tour of the city. It was really fun; we rode a tour bus and a 2-story one but not one of those red double deckers. It was informative and really cool to see everything. I wish we had made more stops, but whatevs.
